Client / Server Architecture.

Network Enforcer is separated into two components, the client program and the management program, utilizing a client / server architecture.

The Client program is the main aspect of Network Enforcer.  It watches for and enforces all filters you have set as well as sending alerts and responses, logs the violation itself, and handling of remote commands.  The Client cannot be accessed or configured other than through the Management program and runs invisibly on each computer in your network.

The Management program is where you determine which computers on your network to use Network Enforcer.  It also allows you to configure filters, perform remote installations across your network, issue remote commands to the computers on your network which have the Client installed as well as create reports, view logs, and more.

Centralized Management and Control.

Network Enforcer's architecture allows you to view all filter event logs from one centralized computer on your network.  It also allows you to 'push' these filter settings to all computers globally or specific computers on your network.  Remote commands as well as realtime violation responses are sent from the central computer running the management program to all computers on the network.  You DO NOT need a dedicated server to use Network Enforcer on your network.

Flexible and Customizable Behavior Activity Filters.

Network Enforcer enforces behavior filters you create and then push to your network computers.  These filters allow you to control what users CANNOT do while using their computer.  Network Enforcer utilizes three levels of filters each more severe than the first which have their own 'thresholds'.  Once a threshold has been broken Network Enforcer will immediately take the appropriate action you have set, be that immediate action and notification, or waiting till the action happens a set number of times more.  For instance, you can set a filter to stop a user from playing solitaire after they do so 'X' number of times while if they attempt to copy sensitive data to a thumb drive you can alert them, alert yourself, and stop the action from occurring immediately.

You can set customized filters, actions, and alerts for the following behaviors listed below :
